I am a freelance technical writer who has spent over ten years working as a GIS Analyst. I pride myself on the ability to problem solve and to make technical information comprehensible to beginning users and experts, alike. I deliver technical writing that communicates clearly and concisely what the user must know.
I have a B.A in Geography from the University of Arizona (graduated Summa Cum Laude) and an Advanced Diploma in GIS from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)
I worked as the GIS Specialist for the USDA-Farm Service Agency, overseeing the transition from paper to digital maps in all offices throughout Arizona and Nevada.
I served as the GIS Specialist with the Sea Around Us, a non-profit research project at the University of British Columbia led by Dr. Daniel Pauly, one of the world’s leading voices on the threats of overfishing.
I also worked for Esri Canada where I contributed to the written documentation for multi-national projects seeking to advance the use of 3D smart models.
